Car Shuttle

I'm looking for a reputable / trustworthy service to hire to drive my car from Monmouth to South Lake (Bishop) while I'm on the trail. Any recommendations?

I don't know of any. Here's some public transit (bus) information for the area around Mammoth Lakes and Bishop (and Owens Valley in general):

I would leave your car at the end (South Lake) and hire a taxi in Bishop or Mammoth to drive you to Mammoth. If you don't want to do that, you can hitch hike, but it might take several hours.

Mammoth Taxi, +1 (760) 934-8294 http://www.mammoth-taxi.com/
Mammoth Cabs, +1 760-924-2227
Eastern Sierra Transit, Bishop +1 (760) 872-1901

From Mammoth, you can take a shuttle all the way to Reds Meadow and Devils Postpile, if that's where you're starting:

Thanks Dan. I've investigated all options you mentioned and a Taxi is plan B. We want to avoid the drive to South lake (coming from Reno) as we figure it'll add 2+ hrs and we'd rather be on the trail. I've sent a note to Mammoth Taxi and Mtwhitney shuttle to see if either of them offer that service.
