Mammoth/Yosemite winter hikes

Postby centurycyclist » Fri Dec 20, 2013 1:20 pm

I will be up in Mammoth quite a bit this winter and want to do some winter day hiking. I would love suggestions for trails. Willing to drive up to Lee Vining too and wondered if the trails were navigable near Saddlebag Lake? Don't know how far you can drive in.
Also, really have no idea how the trails are marked---is there a marker on the trees? Obviously never had to worry about this in summer. Would appreciate any all advice and suggestions.
