Hello

I'll be visiting Yosemite in late March 05' and I plan on doing alot of 35mm photography. Does anyone have any pointers/ tips on getting the best shots. Anything you have found would be great!

thanks
Michael...

There's an old article on photography in Yosemite Valley at
http://www.yosemite.ca.us/history/handb ... raphy.html
It discusses time of day and angle, which still apply today as the falls other features have not moved since then.

A good modern book is Michael Frye's
"The Photographer's Guide to Yosemite" (2000)

Hi Michael,
I visited in Oct 2003 (going back this Sept and can't wait) and found the contrast between the bright blue sky and much of the foreground to be a real problem, I'm guessing 2 or more stops so I regreted not having a graduated neutral density filter.
Enjoy your trip.
