Exposure, did you ever notice?

I've been going back through my Yosemite photos since 1989 (getting ready for my trip tomorrow) and one thing I noticed is how many are overexposed. I'm realizing that most photos here need to be exposed at least a 1/2 stop to a full stop beyond what your meter is saying too. If you look at this example from Bridalveil Falls you'll see what I'm talking about.

The left photo is normal exposure, over exposed. The right photo is -2 expsoure, under exposed. So you can see that if you were to go -1 on the exposure you'd probably hit it dead on. My tip for the day! ;-)
