Current conditions on Tolumne meadows and snow line

1. What's the snow line? About 8500 feet or so?
2. Is Tolumne meadow still covered in snow? My niece and I want to hike in from the tolumne river area so we'll be coming in from the north west into the meadows. Our goal is to get to the grocery store there, restock, and then head back to our tent.
