Trailer Length Vs RV Length

I have trailer camped at Upper Pines a couple of times with our 24 foot trailer. We have always managed to book spots that say max equipment length 35 ft, so we have never had any problems parking in the sites. The sites that say 35 feet max equipment length are suppose to only be for RV's that are 35 feet and trailers that are 24 feet (max). But I am not sure why??? They say it is a maneuverability issue, but these sites that are 35 feet are pretty big. We are going up in Oct and have booked a couple 35 foot sites. We have some friends wanting to come with us but they have a 35 foot 5th wheel and are concerned about fitting it in the spot. Anyone out there ever trailer camped in one of these spots with something this size? Were there any issues? We have site 4 and 49. Any help would be appreciated....

When I had my 31 foot fifth wheel, I always reserved the 35 ft sites with no problems. That being said, I knew which sites I could fit into easily, having been there in off season, when I could pick and choose to my heart's content. I did have to park my truck sideways, in front of my trailer.

The website

has photographs of each camp site, so that might help.
