Anyone have any idea how much snow is generally required (followed by warm temps) to get horsetail falls to flow off of el capitan? Is it currently flowing at all?? Thanks in advance for any info!!

The "problem" with Horsetail Falls is the same as with Yosemite Falls, but worse. Both have small watersheds (Horsetail even smaller) that face south into the sun. Snow doesn't stick every long. However it's usually flowing in late Winter and in Spring.

It's best in late February and March if there's clear weather (no clouds) and warm enough for the snowpack to melt, and of course if there's a snowpack to melt.
