HI

WE ARE PLANNING A TRIP TO YOSEMITE NEXT SUMMER (LATE JULY) EN ROUTE FROM UK VIA SAN FRANCISCO AND ENDING IN LAS VEGAS (NOT FORGETTING THE GRAND CANYON) WITH A 13 AND 15 YEAR OLD IN TOW.

WE ARE LOOKING AT SPENDING 4 DAYS IN THE AREA AND WOULD LIKE TO SEE AS MUCCH AS POSSIBLE WHILE STILL FEELING WE ARE ON HOLIDAY!

ANY SUGGESTIONS ON WHERE TO STAY AND WHETHER TO STAY IN 1 PLACE OR MOVE ON ETC? WE WILL BE COMING FROM LAKE TAHOE AND GOING ON TO DEATH VALLEY.

HAVE BEEN PLANNING THIS TRIP FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND VERY EXCITED BUT DON'T WANT TO GET IT WRONG!! AHELP GREATLY APPRECIATED!! :D LL

The best place to stay is in Yosemite Valley itself--nothing beats getting up in the morning and seeing the domes and waterfalls and valley. However, rooms are expensive in the park, especially in the prime season in summer, and may not be available (reserve at www.yosemitepark.com

The closest to Yosemite Valley outside the park is in El Portal along Highway 120:

I would stay in one place around Yosemite to help your sanity.

Also, turn your caps lock key off :-)
