Location of Cedar Lodge?

Hi,

I have been trying to find Cedar Lodge in El Portal near Yosemite on various web based mapping sites and they all disagree with each other.

Would someone who knows enough about the location of Cedar Lodge be able to give me the lat and long co-ordinates or a link to a mapping web site of it please? Once I have an accurate location, I can use Google street view and see the entrance of Cedar Lodge, as if I'm standing on the road outside of the lodge.

Finding Cedar Lodge on mapping web sites has been driving me crazy!

Many thanks in advance.

Richard.

Here it is:

Cedar Lodge is a few miles west of central El Portal. As far as I can tell, Google does not have "street view" available for this area.

It's just a lodge along the highway into Yosemite Valley. It's a decent motel that's close to Yosemite Valley, although still outside the park.

I prefer lodging inside Yosemite Valley, but it's a lot more bucks$$$$ to stay if you're not willing to camp or stay in the Curry Village tent cabins.

Here's another link showing Cedar Lodge (Satellite View). It's at a community called "Incline" on Google Maps

Richard, Here are the Lat and Long for Cedar Lodge
37º 40' 40.60" N
119º 45' 58.46 W

You're right, it's not marked very well on most web maps. I used to drive by here every day going into the park though so you can bank on it. My sister and her family stay here when they visit from Minnesota. We grew up about an hours drive from here so they come here every couple of years to get their Yosemite fix. You're about a half hours drive from the parking lot in Curry Village. Distance is only 15 miles but traffic and rubber-neckers can be taxing at times, especially in peak summer. Enjoy!
