Hey everyone!

We're planning a trip March 20th of 2006. We go to Yosemite every year, but this year we wanted to try to do it during Spring Break. What is it usually like in the Valley during March? Any waterfalls yet? Also if we bring our own bikes, will the bike trails usually be open?

Thanks for any input :)

-Julie

It's a little early for the full waterfalls in March. Yosemite and Bridalveil falls will be small. Vernal and Nevada falls have a lot of water year-round.

The bike trails in Yosemite Valley are kept clear year-round. Bring a cap and gloves in case it's cold. It's warmer in the afternoon.

If you go to Wawona check out the Chilnualna Falls Trail. I was on it Chrismas Eve and the waterfalls looked great. It should be going nice through all of winter and well into spring there. It's also not as crowded as the valley which is a plus in my book.

Thanks a bunch for the info. We're excited to see Yosemite with possibly some snow. Karl, thanks for the Wawona tip, we'll check it out :)
