Fishing in August

Postby jms703 » Mon Jul 07, 2008 11:20 am

I'd like to back to Yosemite in August. (Just went backpacking in June). I'd like to car camp near Tuolumne Meadows. Is there any good fishing anywhere up in that area?

You won't have to go far for good fishing. Lots of Browns in the meadow, and both forks (Lyell, Dana) are great too. As usual, the futher away from the crowds the less shy the trout are...day hikes?
Do you plan on fly fishing or throwing steel?
