Is there any camping allowed along this route? Plans are to hike 4 mile from the valley then panorama back to happy isles. Thanks for help or suggestions

No, you'd have to get a "Glacier Point to Little Yosemite Valley" permit and camp there or "Glacier Point to Illiouette"permit and camp somewhere up the Illiouette trail (so a detour off the Panorama trail).

Like Jim says, no. You have to get out past GP toward Illilouette Creek. Here's a map. https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/ ... lheads.pdf

The colored arrowheads off the trailheads (#3) show where restrictions are and end. They consider 4-mile>Panorama>Happy Isles a day hike. If you want to camp, definitely make your way down to Illilouette Creek for good sites, water, and no citation if you make sure to get a wilderness permit. I do believe that they'll allow you to begin at the bottom of 4-mile for a GP>Illilouette permit, but check.

By the way, they are currently working on Four Mile Trail---including blasting. It's not open at all....

Thanks for the replies. I won't be in Yosemite until early July. I suppose 4 mile trail would be open by then?

Really? Why is that? I haven't hiked 4 mile yet but everything that i have read makes it sound pretty good.

The views are great. The climb... let's just say if you have a full backpack, and you want to be on the trail system along Glacier Point Rd, Mono meadow or Ostrander/Lost Bear or Bridalveil trailheads are preferable. Unless the best part of the trip for you is a steep uphill slog.
