Fishing near Vogelsang or Merced

I am takign a four day loop trip thorugh Vogelsang and down to Merced thenm back up along Rafferty. Is there any good places to fish along there? If so what bait etc? thanks for any advice I appreciate it.

I think only Evelyn does not have fish in it. Almost all the others do..
I know for certain (seen them): Ireland, Townsley, Fletcher, Bernice,
Emerick, Hanging Basket, Vogelsang, and Florence Lakes ALL do.
Lewis Creek has fish too... And, of course, Washburn and Merced Lakes.
I'd use the rule of thumb that if it is at high elevation and has a name
then it probably has fish in it. The lakes higher up than the named
lake may or may not depending on topography. (Gallison does not
have fish in it though)
I used to fish alot but kinda gave it up to instead run up Peaks and
take pictures. I got bored with it for the fact I kinda felt alot of the
high Elevation Lakes had way too many punny fish in them which were
way too easy to catch.
That being said, have fun, I use to use a spinning rod with a simple
spinning lure.
Benson Lake has spectacular fishing... As did Laurel Lake.
