First time visitor in mid September. Worried about the smoke

Hello, I'm planning on visiting sequoia national and Yosemite for the first time soon. The week of 9/19-9/26.

I want to make sure we can get the most out of the experience and I was worried the smoke and hazy views from the fires could hinder that.

I was wondering if anyone has advice on if we should cancel the trip and reschedule sometime in spring, or if the smoke and hazy views will be a non factor on our trip?

My crystal ball is broken. But you can monitor fire containment on the CalFire website, and as your dates approach you'll be able to see on the maps how the smoke is from day to day, and take your best guess.... https://www.fire.ca.gov/incidents/

The areas you can access in September are significantly larger than those you can access in the spring. The high country often doesn't open up until June or later...but it will be open in September.

Waterfalls, on the other hand will be much better in Yosemite Valley in the spring.
