CA to close campgrounds

Postby balzaccom » Sat Dec 05, 2020 2:55 pm

California State Parks announced Friday it will temporarily close campgrounds in response to regions closing under the state's latest stay-at-home order.

Overnight camping will be affected, but park officials said that outdoor areas of parks, including trails and beaches, will remain open during the day for recreation. Groups from the same household are allowed use of the park, but must adhere to COVID-19 guidelines such as wearing face coverings and social distancing

Yosemite is day use only starting this coming Monday. No backpacking, camping or lodging in the park. I suspect the other parks will follow suit shortly.
