Tioga Road Services

- I read that Tuolumne Meadows Campground is open to about half capacity, are the backpacker campsites still open?
- It looks like the store is open, do you know if the grill is open or the cafe at the Lodge?

From the page on the official Yosemite website:

What is different about visiting Tioga Road and Tuolumne Meadows?

Tioga Road is open and Tuolumne Meadows Campground opens on June 21. Tuolumne Meadows Visitor Center will have an information desk outside and wilderness permits will be available outside the Tuolumne Meadows Wilderness Center. Tuolumne Meadows store and post office are open; the grill is closed. White Wolf Lodge, Tuolumne Meadows Lodge, and High Sierra Camps and will not open this year. The Tuolumne Meadows Shuttle and Tuolumne Meadows Tour and Hikers Bus will not operate this year.

Since the Tuolumne campground is open, so is the backpacker campground.

In fact, the Tuolumne Meadows backpacking campground was open last year even when the regular campground was closed...

Limited services = the bathrooms were open and the water spigot worked.

Or just read a good mystery novel set in the Sierra; https://www.amazon.com/Danger-Falling-Rocks-Paul-Wagner/dp/0984884963
