Backpacking with 5 people in May for 4 days

Postby nianankoro » Mon Apr 20, 2009 4:37 pm

We are one woman, 4 men in the 30ies and 40ties with back packing experience. We are looking for a recommendation on a trail ( loop?) that we can hike and camp 4 days and 3 nights in early May.
2 of us are photographers. wilderness with less people is preferred.
Snow fields in the day are cool, no snow at night ( campsite) is even better.

we could also do 4 nights and 5 days if there is a better trail loop for that.

we just want wholesome exercise (hiking), and immerse ourselves in the natural beauty of the planet and absorb some peaceful energy of mother earth.

We would very much appreciate any advise from experienced backpackers as in what trail would be good at that time of year .....

I would bump your trip up to June as Tioga rd probable want be open until the end of May, they got more snow this year than last year so you would want to make sure you will have access to the trails
