Day-use parking in the Valley?

Postby BrendanSF » Mon May 25, 2009 4:49 pm

Where can you legally park in the Valley for a day hike if you aren't staying at a hotel or campground? Last time I found an unmarked row of spaces at Yosemite Lodge, and didn't get ticketed, but was worried about it all day.

Curry Village or Yosemite Village. There are free shuttles to get you around, or you can walk or bring/rent a bike.

There is also the Day Use Parking lot. It should be fairly well marked. On the way in on Southside drive, you will make a left at Sentinel bridge just past the chapel. Then you will make the next right and Day Use Parking is right there.

And again there is a shuttle stop right there.

Good Luck.
