5 Man August trip

Postby EC_Benjamin » Sat Jun 06, 2009 4:35 pm

Hi, me and some friends are planning a first time trip to Yosemite in early august. the trip we want is 4-5 days wilderness backpacking with a lot of solitude. it would be cool to see some lakes to swim in, and have some nice views but we're willing to sacrifice going to the more popular places to maintain solitude. any suggestions or advice would be appreciated, thank you!

I would vote for up the Illilouette Canyon to Ottoway Lakes, or up Kibbie Ridge to the boundary area....both are much less traveled, full of solitude, and quite reasonable hiking.
