Trip report from May 16 Half Dome

Postby jchapell » Tue Jun 17, 2014 10:23 am

This is a bit after the fact, but here is a trip report from our trip last month, including Half Dome. However, I used this site for a ton of useful info, so thought I'd share this in case it was useful for anyone else. Enjoy!

We had planned on heading up with the cables down on May 14th (harness & prusik ready), but were pleasantly surprised when we picked up our wilderness permit and found out the Rangers would be putting the cables up! We changed plans for the 15th with an alpine start from LYV - I believe we were the 4th and 5th people up for the season (with the cables up).
