Leaving gear behind before ascent
Posted: Tue Apr 14, 2009 7:46 amI'm looking at overnighting from Clouds rest to half dome then down to the vally. I'm going to have all my pack gear when I hit the cables so my question is what do you do with it? I don't like the idea of a 20-30# pack on my shoulders as I go up or down for that matter. Any suggestions on this? Is there anyplace I could throw up the tent close by and stow my pack? How about theft problems if I do. Thanks for any help.
