I'm scheduled to go backpacking in Yosemite the first week of August, my plane leaves this Friday. Am I totally screwed?

No, there's a fire burning west of Yosemite National Park in the foothills around Midpines. The air may be smoky would be the only problem. Here's status report you should monitor:
