half dome day hike

Postby happy2finish » Tue May 26, 2009 10:34 pm

I'm planning a half dome day hike for Sun 5/31/09.

Can anyone report on recent conditions, esp. snow and melt on the steep granite sections?

Also, if the park is full Sat nite., any suggestions on the closest spots on the 120 approach (from SF) we can pitch our tent?
