What to do at night

Postby CA Cowgirl » Sat Oct 03, 2009 9:13 am

We normally camp there but this time in late October we will be staying in the lodge. What is there to do? Don't want to just go to bed.

Thanks

This isn't a big city--don't expect a lot. But here's a few things...

You can hang out at the Mountain Room Lodge and drink. There's a live band and dancing on weekends.

Take a shuttle bus to the Ahwahnee hotel and go to the bar there--they have a better-than-average bar food menu and you don't have to dress up.

Toward the end of October there's a full moon and if the moon is up, I recommend walking to the bridge below lower Yosemite Falls. You should see a moonbow.

You can watch TV in your room. Or bring a laptop and use the free Internet access in the lobby (for guests only).

Sometimes there's presentations (free) or a play (not free) in the auditorium next to the Mountain Room.

I think the Mountain Room Lodge also sells s'mores kits that you can use at their indoor firepit.
