I was recently talking to someone who will be travelling to Yosemite later this year, and they were told that they could not take any food into the park. Does anyone know whether there is any merit to this rumor? I will be leaving for Yosemite this weekend and am now concerned.

That's a good one.

Yes, you can take food and drinks into the park.

You just can't feed the bears your food. You have to keep food hidden in the trunk. Bears recognize food containers, ice boxes, and boxes covered with blankets.
