Yosemite water falls

Has anyone had a chance to check out the waterfalls in the past few days? Are they at full force or is it still a little too early?

Thanks.

Hi. Typical FULL Force would be in mid-June.
But, yes they are going very nicely. Didn't go last wkend
but did the wk before.
You can find my stuff here w/ waterfall pix:

The Merced Lake set is from April 10-14.

I was told even the Bears hibernate. But they lose weight
when the do... humans... they just get fat. So I'm ok with not hibernating.

Have fun

Oh wow!! there was still ice on the mist trail. I was thinking of a little day hike with my family but its looking a little to adventurous for that right now.

Nice pics!

how is the mist trail this time of year? I was thinking about hiking up to vernal or nevada falls sometime in the next week. Is it safe enough to manage right now or too much ice?

That is your call. Typical Sierra weather is freeze/thaw.
So it depends on the recent system and how much freezing
has occurred. If the gate is not open then proceed with
extreme caution. I've always seen some degree of ice
on the lower Mist when it is closed so I highly recommend
some sort of spikies and sticks for winter/early spring.
(the JMT can get delicious too)
It's your only life so do what you are comfortable with.

You can always get up to the top of both Vernal and Nevada in winter.
