August is the busiest month at Yosemite ( also the worst month to visit there) so getting a site will require work and or luck. Any of the campgrounds along the Tioga road will be your best bet.
Bring what ever water you need when there is not water at the campground.
Sounds like you may not be be happy at Yosemite - maybe try camping at Las Vegas. They have water, do not mind how loud you are and have plenty of first come first serve rooms in August.
