Bears and diapers

Postby Bruce Deacon » Wed Jul 18, 2012 7:40 pm

Just wondering...I will be hiking with my 9 year old and he wears a pull up diaper when he sleeps. Will bears be attracted to the smell of urine? I am really hoping to avoid having to store wet diapers in my bear canister:)

Bears are attracted to human poop (undigested food and protein), but not urine. Hope this helps.
