Rv travel in late feb, early march

Postby Sanco » Mon Jan 14, 2013 12:56 am

Hello, fist time visitor to Yosemite and we would like to take a 27 foot RV but would like some input regarding the feasibility of the roads during feb. 25 through march1 2013.
Will we be able to access most parts of the park as would a car?
Are campgrounds accommodating to RVs during these dates?
Is this a good or bad idea VS a car and motel?
Any input appreciated.
Thank you,
Chris

he Pines Campgrounds in Yosemite Valley are open, as are Wawona Campground at the southwest side of the park and Hodgdon Meadow at the northwest side. All are open to RVs. There's no hookups though, although there's a dump station near the Pines Campgrounds. In Winter there's several RVs in the Pines Campgrounds and personally I think there's nothing better than waking up in Yosemite Valley.
