Are there any lockers you can leave your thru hiking kit in while doing a day hike from Yosemite ? Many thanks for any assistance

There are coin lockers near the Curry Village registration desk.

There are also big "bear boxes" where you can store food next to the Curry Village parking lot. You aren't supposed to use locks on these though.

thanks Dan do you have any idea of how big the lockers are , like would you get 1 2 or 3 medium hiking packs in ? Also are they generally available?

The rentable lockers (with coins) at Curry Village are narrow-about a foot square and a few feet deep. You may need to rent more than one, and have nothing that can't be folded up or bent.

I've never had problems finding a locker--there are plenty of unused ones in my experience.

People who stay at Curry Village get separate bear lockers for free (it uses the room key).
