can you take 4 mile trail from the floor to hook up somewhere to get up to sentinel dome?
looking for the shortest possible way.
how would you attempt this via pohono maybe?
seems there should be a way to do this.
thanks!!

Look at any map of the area. Here's one:

Just continue on beyond Glacier Point along the rim, following the trail. It crosses the paved road and continues on to Sentinel Dome (with a little side trip) and eventually Taft Point.

From Pohono? You mean Bridalveil Fall? That would be a very long day--too long in fact. From Bridalveil Fall parking lot, take the old road up to Old Inspiration Point, then follow the south rim trail east to Sentinel Dome. I don't recommend doing it though--too far. Or maybe you're thinking of starting somewhere else?

The shortest possible way is to drive to Glacier Point or trailhead parking a few miles before (west of) Glacier Point. Get a good hiking map of the area. Tom Harrison Maps or Trails Illustrated, for example.
