sell wilderness permit sunrise lake

Postby Enny » Fri Jun 29, 2012 4:35 pm

Hello,

I have a wilderness permit and something else is now conflicting with the date of the permit. I know I can reschedule it but all other dates throughout the summer are no longer availabe for reservation.
I'd like to sell the permit for the same price what it cost me (4person = $25).
Not sure if this forum is the right place. If not is there another/better place?

Thanks.

Just turn it in. It's not a lot of money, and I think the fine print on these says that they are not transferrable...

Wilderness permit is transferable (I called them and asked). Half Dome permits are not transferable.

If it is not a lot of money for you maybe you want to have it?

I'm far more likely to go get one for a trip I actually want to do... walk in (free) permits are not as hard to get as people think, particularly midweek.

I still think fondly of the summer I scored a walk in, did Parker Pass, rode back up to Tuolumne Meadows, got another walk in, stayed the night in the bp campground, went down Grand Canyon of the Tuolumne, came back, got another walk in.... That was a really nice vacation. One trip in the car, many days backpacking, and I would have bought food anyway. And a burger each time I came back to TM.
