That's called "Gates of the Valley" or "Valley View". It's famous!

It's at the west end of Yosemite Valley. The easiest way to get there is to stop at a turnout off of (one way) Northshore drive a few hundred feet before you get to Pohono Bridge. The turnoff is on the southside between the road and the Merced River. It's a popular stop and has a restroom. Park at the turnout and carefully walk down the riverbank to the Merced River.
