I know it is pounding rain and snow up there today, but there may still be some sunny trips left in this season.
The gate on Cherry Lake Dam is not closed this season until December. That means Kibbie Lake and the Kibbie Ridge trail, as well as Lake Eleanor, are far more accessible this autumn than usual.
The ranger explained that it was due to a typo on an off-road map, and that it won't likely be the case next year.
Just thought you guys might like to know.
