Where is Shangri-La ?

Postby paulk » Sun Dec 02, 2012 7:20 am

many years ago someone told me about visiting a place he called Shangri-La. I think he said it was north of the Panorama trail area but I probably mis remember. and I may have read about a similar-sounding place on line, but I think that one was east of Little Yosemite.
possible description (some memories from the mid-70's are a bit hazy) a huge (?) granite slab where rectangular rocks are piled atop one another in impossibly random ways, recalling the 3-story Indian cave near Sentinel Bridge, and looking like the tables and chairs in a giant's house.
I want to see it.
