Ok, now that the government shutdown is over, I am trying to remember when they close the highcountry trailheads for the winter. Looks like we have some decent weather left and I was thinking of going up soon. The Yosemite website is still down in the pertinent parts, and I won't even bother calling them today until things settle down.
Anybody in the know?

They never close trailheads. What they'll do is close the Tioga Road and Glacier Point Road to overnight parking. And when snow accumulates they close it altogether.
Tioga Road closed pre-emptively last week due to snowfall. Website says today that it is open but closed to overnight parking - which it does every year, October 15, like clockwork.
