Camping at Clouds Rest?

Is there camping at Cloud's rest? What is the closest place to camp? Thanks!

I think they discourage you from camping right on Cloud's Rest...and there is no water there anyway.

But you can camp within about a mile on either side of the top...and most seasons there is water near enough to those spots. This year is pretty dry, so I am note sure there will be water in those little creeks later in the summer.

It's technically illegal to camp on the trail, and guess where the trail goes? The top is very narrow as well. I suspect you wouldn't do much sleeping.

There's spots near Sunset Creek at the trail junction off the JMT.
