My girlfriend and I are visiting Yosemite from Monday, September 15 to Friday Sept 19, 2014, from South Carolina. We already have our backcountry permits for our planned hike from Tuolumne Meadows to Yosemite Valley. The problem I'm encountering so far is the limited shuttle/bus service in the park this time of year and during the week.
Soooooooo, the only option I can see for us doing our one-way hike is to hitchhike from YV to TM on Monday afternoon after we get our permits and drop our car in the Valley.

If you are planning a hike in this area around the same dates and also need shuttle, please let me know! We will have our rental car so we can set shuttle with another driver. We plan to arrive to the Valley around 1pm on Monday and would like to run shuttle that afternoon so we can camp in TM Monday night. Please let me know if you would like to set shuttle with us or if you will be in the area and have space for 2 more (or if there is another option I'm overlooking).
