Just came back from a backpacking trip in Yosemite, and we completed the hetch hetchy loop.
A lot of hetch hetchy is burnt.
The average day time temp was in the high 70s and the night time lows were mid to high 40s.
You are allowed to use existing fire pits in both the valley and hetch hetchy's backcountry.
Be prepared for a lot of mosquitos.

Which loop did you do? Past Wapama Falls to Tilltill Valley?

Or just read a good mystery novel set in the Sierra; https://www.amazon.com/Danger-Falling-Rocks-Paul-Wagner/dp/0984884963

I heard the trail was closed past Wapama due to rockslide.

We meet some people who did went to the falls, but I would confirm with the rangers if its still closed.
