Parking at Ten Lakes Trailhead

Postby klsmith2003 » Thu Jul 24, 2014 7:55 am

So after pondering many factors, we have changed our GCT trip in August to a Polly Dome/Ten Lakes trip.
Going in August 18th to Polly Dome lakes and coming out on August 22 at Ten Lakes. We will park a car at Ten Lakes trailhead and either take the hikers bus in the morning to Murphy Creek (they say that you can flag them down at any trailhead. Does that really work) or we'll hitchhike later in the day.

Wondering about parking at Ten Lakes trailhead? Will we have any problem finding a spot for our car?

Thanks!

No really. There are spaces...and then there are areas where you can park that aren't really spaces. Welcome to Yosemite. Find a spot off the road to leave your car, and park it,.

Got it B, thanks...

Do you know if the Hiker's Bus does indeed respond to desperately waving backpackers standing at the Ten lakes trailhead as there info says?
There is not a scheduled stop there, but they claim they will stop at any trailhead...

you need a ticket for the bus, and it takes reservations. go to yosemitepark.com and if the answer is not there call the number.
