Damage on Mist Trail to Vernal Fall Bridge
Posted: Mon Jan 05, 2009 3:02 pmJust a heads up to anyone who might be considering a hike to the Vernal Fall Bridge, the trail was considerably damaged in a couple of spots due to a rock slide on Saturday, 3Jan09. A couple of very large boulders knocked of a few trees as well as taking out more than half of the asphalt in a couple of spots. There were trees across the trail as well. The debris and damage was stretched over a distance of 100 yards or so. Not to mention the ice was very treacherous. Oh yeah, there is a bobcat in the area as well.
