Who knows anymore? August 11th will undoubtedly be better than now. Try this for starters:

https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/wildcond.htmFor trees, looks like the trail crews are maybe a couple miles up from the Buena Vista junction into the area around the Clark Fork/Red Creek area:
https://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/ ... leared.pdfLot's of snow hanging on high up, deep suncups galore. I wish I could remember where I saw it, but I recently read someone saying that north approach was still almost completely snowed over and they went for a fairly serious uncontrolled glissade. I would have at least spikes, if not crampons and an axe. Have them if I need them, be happy and resigned to the extra weight if I don't. Probably not too many timely reports up there just yet. Not that I can find anyhow (it's on my radar for later in the month). People going up there tend to not be those that muddle through and get caught out and surprised with whatever comes their way. Find reports for similar elevations and aspects, extrapolate.
Hope that helps. Better than nothing I suppose.
