Protect car from Bears

Postby CA Cowgirl » Mon Oct 26, 2009 5:49 pm

We are going this weekend. Plan to not have any food in car while staying in lodge. Can we spray anything (on the tires) that would be offensive to them? Sounds stupid huh?

As long as everything is out they won't mess with your car.

Yeah, sorry it's stupid. Doesn't hurt to ask though.

Keep your car away from the Apple Orchard overflow parking in Curry Village--bears love apples and don't care if they knock/scratch a few cars in the process. Bears also recognize food packages and blankets covering food boxes and ice chests. Keep food in bear boxes overnight and in the trunk during the day (overnight is more of a problem than during the day).
