Hi,
We, a group of five friends are planning to visit Yosemite on March 17-18. Based on the current weather conditions it's being snowing and even the Hwy 41 and 120 are closed due to storm damage. How's the road conditions for Hwy 140? Is it good to drive to Valley or take YARTS?
Thanks

the park website has a page with current conditions. check it - there have been closures on 140 at times as well.

Hwy 140 was good last weekend and not crowded. But 140 does route through a steep canyon and could get rock or mud fall, especially during storms and there could be some 1-way sections for repairs. There is always a short 1-way control section over the bridges, but that delay is only ~5 mins. Cal Trans conditions (outside the park) are at

I went through 140 and the valley and to Badger pass without chains last weekend (not on Sunday during the storm, though).
No problems.
So unless the storm broke something, next weekend should be fine (kind of wish I'd waited now, since I had to leave a day earlier to avoid the storm on Sunday).
