Timing the mosquitoes this year

Postby rodneyace » Thu May 13, 2010 12:06 am

With the weather this year in Yosemite what would be the best time to avoid mosquitoes on a trip in the back country? I know they will be mostly gone by late summer but is it possible to escape there wrath before they start to set in? I was thinking that the 1st half of June would be good timing.

Depends where you go....
Definitely higher they will not be around... there will be way too much
running water and snow still...
Even last year mid June TM had little to no mosquitos at that time.
