Can I do the Snow Creek Falls loop in a couple of weeks?

Postby jhackett » Sun Apr 11, 2010 2:00 pm

Hello,

I'm going to be home from school for a couple of weeks and really want to do some backpacking in Yosemite. I've never done the Snow Creek Falls loop and really want to give it a shot. Who thinks I'll be able to do it around April 28th?

If you don't think I can, can you suggest any loop that would be just as nice but doable, either in Yosemite or the general area?

Thanks a lot. 8)

I will be there on the 24th so I will scout the Snow Creek trail and let you know. The trail itself should be good because it get sun all day long, up higher though I am not so sure of.

Can anybody provide a good topographic map of this loop for me? I'd really appreciate it.

Both of these have include the Snow Creek/Yosemite Falls trails

This isn't a topo, but it's shaded relief. It's a PDF file from the NPS with the main hiking trails in and around Yosemite Valley, including Snow Creek:

Just FYI. I'd plan on hitting a lot of snow.
