Our group (7) has gotten permits for the second week in Sept and we'll be spending the first night in LYV. From there we're planning on going to Merced Lake and then camping in the area of Echo Valley on day 2. On the 3rd day we're going up to Sunrise Lakes and camping near the Jct of Sunrise Lakes Tr. On day 4 we're going over Clouds Rest and spending the night near the Jct of the JMT. On day 5 most of us are hoping to summit Half Dome and then hike out on day 6.
I'm looking for ideas for best places to camp for the last 4 nights of our trip. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Wherever you find a good camping spot. Stay the required distance from water and trail, don't camp in grass (unless you really like the inside walls of the tent to get wet), and you are fine. Rangers will ask you not to make any more fire rings as there are a lot out there already, and if you're above 9600 feet you can't have one even if there's a fire ring.

There were some likely looking spots between the junction you mention on day 3 and clouds, and there are some spots along the way to Half Dome but you should carry in your water if you are farther up the trail than the spring.
