So I'm doing a 4 day trip...entry is Murphy Creek with first night at Polly Dome.
Second night will be somewhere along Cathedral Creek between Tuolomne Peak descent and Ten Lakes climb.
The trip reports talk about camping near where Cathredral Creek crosses the trail and the map shows various crossing points along what looks to be about a 2 miles stroll along the creek.
I'm curious as to availability of good, established campsites along Cathedral Creek and wondering if anybody knows of current water flow and availability.
Are the campsites at the bottom of the Ten Lakes ascent at the first crossing or are there various campsites throughout the creek and trail?
Thanks,
K

I was there about 4 weeks back. There was good water flow at that time, I would think it would still be decent. I wasn't looking for camp sites, but do recall seeing a few in the northern mile or so of the portion of the trail along the creek but not so much in the southern half.

I should add that there was no water along the trail from Murphy Creek to Tuolumne Peak and the flows near Tuolumne Peak were small a month ago. So be prepared to carry water from Polly Dome Lakes to the S. Fork of Cathedral Creek.

Thanks Dave,
Just the info I was looking for.
Ahhh...the realities of a dry winter...concretely translated into extra weight on the back as we leave Polly Dome Lakes!
