Yeah, you really will want to stay well apprised of what the weather's going to be doing that time of year. Not always, but storms can hit hard and fast, and it is always good to be prepared.
The other thing that AT mentions about the shuttles and parking make it best if you do it as a loop beginning and ending in the valley and avoid the whole parking and shuttle thing. Two nights and three days on the trail would be just about right for you: one night up to Sunrise Creek, camp there, next day to Cloud's Rest and then towards Sunrise Lakes for the second night, camp at the trailside pond part way there or go to the lakes themselves, drop back down to the JMT on the Forsyth Trail, then either hike back down to the valley or spend the night again at Sunrise Creek or LYV and hike out the next day.
If you do want to stick with your original plan, in order to use the shuttle, it's going to be via YARTS, and limited to only on weekends. Check their website to be sure of their operational dates and schedules.
