Hi everyone, my friends and I had thought about doing Hetchy Hetch area and then we decided on a trip that goes something like the old big oak flat road trailhead to cascade creek, then along north rim past el capitan, yosemite falls to snow creek falls, then back down to valley. We are worried about the snow right now. Has anyone been out there recently? Is this trip doable right now? What are the conditions? Any other trip suggestions if this is not a good idea right now? We are still hoping for a 4 day 3 night trip, but can be flexible. We don't want something where we are likely to lose the trail or have super dangerous stream crossings.

Thanks for your help!

snow levels are around 6400, at least on the north side of the park, and the snow was pretty soft by late afternoon.

determine stream-crossings by the size of the watershed feeding it. i would only count on the smaller tributaries or bridges. the water is running high right now and is very cold.
